Sash window restoration

Restoration of original sash and casement windows can add value to your home, make your windows more pleasant to use, provide less draughts and reduce noise.

Our restoration service includes completely stripping the exterior of the windows, replacing sash cords, maintaining or replacing pulley wheels, incorporating our draught proofing system, renewing putty lines and mastic, repairing damaged or weakened joints and painting the original windows.

Previously paint sealed, broken or rattling windows become easy to operate and maintain while retaining all of their original charm.

Restoration of original sash and casement windows can add value to your home, make your windows more pleasant to use, provide less draughts and reduce noise. Restoration is usually more economical than replacement and is the most sound choice environmentally.

I was fully aware that it was extremely difficult to quote on the refurbishment of my bowed windows as the extent of the wood decay would not be known until the work started and it was possible that all of curved window panes could crack. I agreed to a quote based on the worst case scenario - total timber renewal and glass replacement. The company did not respond by a cavalier approach to the project but took meticulous care to protect the glass and saved as much of the original timber as possible. I was delighted when the final invoice was less than 50% of our "Doomsday Scenario". Throughout the project I genuinely felt that Mark and his team cared as much about preserving the windows as I did. A job extremely well done. Thank you!
